Wed, Thu, Fri: 11am-3pm

Fri, Sat: 5.30pm-10.30pm                       â€‹

Our next Annual Members Meeting is due to be held in December, exact date to be confirmed.  We potentially have positions for Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and general committee members that would need to be filled if the hub is to continue to operate after this meeting.  If you are interested in joining the committee to have a say in how it's run and ensure its future please get in touch by the end of October by emailing us at theswancommunitygroup@gmail.com, phoning 01452 840323 or popping in to the Hub.

Daytime activities

 

Rhyme Time - Wednesdays, 11 - 11.30am - singing/music group for pre-school children and their parents/carers.

Knit, Natter & Crochet - Thursdays from 11am

Book Club - 1st Friday of the month, 11am

Gardening Group - every Friday, 11am - 1pm

Bridge Club - Fridays, 1-3pm

 

Other regular events

 

Quiz - Friday 22th Nov from 7pm, £7 per person to include a sharing platter of food.  Pre-booking required.

 

Anything with wheels - Natter & Noggin - held on the first Thursday of each month.  The bar will also be open for everyone, to have drinks and snacks.

 

Bingo - Friday 18th Oct from 7.30pm - pre-booking required. 

 

Art Society meet-up - every other Friday.

 

Table Tennis - Thanks to the Forest of Dean District Council we have received funding for a new table tennis table and equipment.  We are hoping to start up a regular group soon, so if you're interested in playing please get in contact.

Mini Lending Library 

 

We have a wide variety of Library books available to borrow thanks to Gloucestershire County Council. You'll also be able to order specific titles and request that they are sent to the Hub (monthly deliveries). You'll need a Gloucestershire Library card in order to borrow books, further details can be  found at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/libraries.

 

Saturday nights

We are bringing back the Saturday evening for a trial period.  After a succesful 5 evenings in september this will be extended throughout Oct.

 

Room Hire

The Cygnet room is available to hire for meetings, celebrations, birthdays, clubs etc, so please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

 

Volunteering

To enable us to stay open for regular hours, offer food and host events we require more volunteers.  There are various roles available both front of house and behind the scenes, so if you have a few hours spare and would like to join our family of amazing volunteers please call 01452 840323, email theswancommunitygroup@gmail.com or message us via Facebook Messenger.
